AberInnovation is a cutting-edge hub that offers state-of-the-art office and meeting spaces, research and development facilities and expertise to businesses in the biotechnology, food and drink, circular economy and agritech industries.
The AberInnovation facilities, one of the five UKRI-BBSRC research and innovation campuses and co-located with Aberystwyth University at the 100-year-old historic site of crop breeding at Gogerddan, exist to work with innovative companies of all sizes to advance the development of climate change and food security innovations, where in-house academic and technical expertise will support this, and accelerate engagement between Aberystwyth University, industry and strategic partners.
Your business is eligible if you are a current or past participant of the BioAccelerate business support programme, and/or a Tenant, Associate or Virtual Members of AberInnovation. (Companies that are not yet tenants or members may apply for these options by the commencement of their Solutions Catalyst project activities)
Companies and organisations registered outside of Wales can apply. There is no place based restriction on companies and organisations that can apply.
Firstly check that your project/s fits with what is available in AberInnovation facilities and the available expertise. We would encourage companies to get in touch with a suitable expertise within Aberystwyth University before submitting their application and this may help towards understanding the most suitable project collaboration to submit. If you have more than one suitable project idea a company can submit more than one application.
